A leading white goods retailer asked us to source black box venues around the country that could be set up as fully simulated ‘showrooms’ for staff induction and training prior to new store openings. With a challenging budget we found suitable venues that in some areas included unused office space combined with outside catering as well as more straightforward large conference rooms in hotels. Space had to be guaranteed for a three week period, 24 hours a day, and 7 days a week.

An Overseas Property Sales Company briefed us to source roadshow venues on an on-going basis. We needed to persuade up market venues across the UK to accept three day bookings for large conference rooms on a room hire basis only, thereby foregoing substantial food & beverage revenue. High profile venues were needed to attract visitors although budgets were limited. High value / low cost enquiries are always a challenge we accept!

A leading bank asked us to find a dinner venue in Paris for a group of top sales people. The overriding request was that it had to be somewhere that the man in the street could not access, so restaurants and standard private venues were out of the question. The group were taken to a run down apartment block and directed up graffiti covered stairways to a door on the third floor which opened to reveal the avant garde home of an eccentric fashion designer. His sitting room and dining room were used for a champagne reception and dinner on one long candle lit table was brought in by one of the city’s leading caterers.

A particularly demanding trainer tasked us to find a venue for a top management training course he was running where 12 people could be accommodated in absolute comfort but in a ‘wilderness’ location for two reasons. Firstly the course involved challenges offered but the great outdoors and secondly the delegates were renowned for escaping to the nearest licenced premises! The solution was a small country house hotel in an isolated spot, miles from the nearest village.

A household name engineering company needed to train its entire UK support team over a very short time period but would only take personnel off site for one day. A series of low cost venues was booked offering an environment that was stimulating but not intimidating. Axis administered the entire training programme, taking bookings from individual employees, placing them on the nearest course, liaising with hotels over final numbers, dispatching course materials, checking and settling final invoices before recharging the client.
